Charter Ceremony
Went to the Charter Ceremony of the school's Interact Club along with my wife last Thursday not knowing quite what to expect and we were suitably impressed!
It was a very formal occasion in the presence of the Mayor and Mayoress, local MP and various dignitaries from the Rotary Club. The school's first president of Interact, Abdullah Karolia, was presented with the Presidential jewel by Mrs Hazel Haas, Rotary's International Governor, and a lectern and gavel by the Batley Rotary President Mr David Ramsbottom who also presented the club's official charter together with membership badges to everyone.
Abdullah made a great acceptance speech and Ebrahim and Mohammed gave the vote of thanks. All the students spoke very well and very confidently and were a credit to the school. Wayne and Andrew Cosgrove were also presented with special awards by the Mayor.
A super event. Well done to everyone involved particularly Mrs Dent and Mrs Clyne for organising it all. Another feather in the school's cap!

Governors Meeting 12th March
Well done to all learners, staff and governors for the positive feedback received from HMI in their monitoring visit in February. Our school is really moving forward at a rapid pace. Well done to everyone for their essential role in Educating tomorrow's successful men.

Great HMI Feedback.
Thanks to Claire for 'volunteering' to chair the small group monitoring the School Improvement Plan. An important piece of work as we move to 'good' and then outstanding.
